Community Involvement

Family PhotoRyan was born and raised in Aztec and understands what a blessing a small town community can be and all small communities have to offer.  Ryan also recognizes that many people in the Aztec/Farmington/Bloomfield area contributed to Ryan’s growth and maturity while being raised in Aztec.  To that end, Ryan takes seriously the commitment to give back to his community.  Ryan believes firmly that the greatest model of leadership is serving.

Beginning in January 2021, Ryan will be representing the people of District 3 in the State House of Representatives.  Ryan also previously served on the Board of Directors for the Matthew Bardwell Memorial Scholarship Fund.  In addition to serving on the Board of Directors of the MBMSF, Ryan also firmly believes in giving back to his community by serving our youth.  To that end, Ryan served on the school board for the Aztec Municipal School Board from 2015 to January 2020.  Additionally, Ryan volunteers his time and energies as an assistant varsity baseball coach for the Aztec High School Tigers.  Ryan also understands the importance of history within the context of a local community.  As such, Ryan previously served on the board for the Aztec Museum.

Ryan understands that it is a privilege to live and work in the Four Corners area.  A large part of what has made the Four Corners area such an enjoyable place to live has been the people dedicated to cultivating a true community.  Ryan looks to continue this tradition through his law practice and through how he lives his life.
