SMS Terms & Conditions

1. Program Description

By opting in to receive SMS (text) messages from T. Ryan Lane, P.C. (“the Firm”), whether by a web form, by telling us verbally or in writing, by texting us first, or by any other method, you agree to receive text messages from the Firm at the mobile number you provided. These include conversational messages (two-way messages with Firm staff) and the types of messages listed below.

2. How to Opt In

You can opt in to receive text messages from the Firm in any of these ways:

  • Text us first at 505-333-4494. This number is also listed in the “Text Us” section of our Contact page.
  • Give us your mobile number and agree, verbally or in writing, to receive text messages when you schedule an appointment, during a consultation, or when you sign an engagement agreement with the Firm.

We record the date and method of your consent.

3. Types of Messages You May Receive

  • Appointment reminders, confirmations, and scheduling or rescheduling messages
  • Replies to questions and inquiries you send us
  • Notices that documents are ready for review, pickup, or signing
  • Requests for information or documents we need to move your matter forward
  • General updates on the status of your matter (without confidential details)
  • Billing and payment reminders
  • Office notices, such as closures or changed office hours

We do not send marketing or promotional text messages.

4. Message Frequency and Charges

  • Message frequency may vary depending on your interactions with the Firm and the status of your matter.
  • Message and data rates may apply. Check your mobile plan or contact your wireless carrier for details.

5. How to Opt Out

To opt out at any time, text STOP in reply to any message from us. You will receive one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed, and you will not receive any further text messages unless you opt in again. 7. Consent Not Required

Text messaging is not a secure way to communicate. Please do not send confidential or sensitive information, such as Social Security numbers, account numbers, or detailed facts about your legal matter, by text message. Sending us a text message does not create an attorney-client relationship.

9. Carrier Disclaimer

Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery depends on your carrier and device and is not guaranteed.
